Never Enough

4 May

Wanting to be someone you’re not is a simply a waste of the person you are. Be thankful for what you have and who you are. You’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on all the things you don’t have and the things you are not, you will never ever have enough.

Your post is similar to what the pastor spoke about yesterday. Here’s an old song that sums it up –

    Angie posted a classic.

I wish more people understood this. Great message as usual.

Good point. It takes a certain kind of upbringing to truly feel comfortable with your purpose. So many people experience quarter/mid/senior life crises b/c their intuitive pursuits and expressions of self were suppressed by any number of reasons from peer ridicule to parental influences. The reason I still feel the power of your message is because I believe, from personal experience, that living in persistent pursuit of truth/happiness (like the kind you spoke about when visiting Greg), they will surely come to understand and overcome any ‘forces’ holding them – the real them – from coming out (hear Diana and them? I want the world to know, gotta let it show!). But you have to want to be yourself. Some who need to embark on the aforesaid journey of self discovery don’t because it’s easier to keep up the front; however, in further agreement of your point, they do so at the expense of much greater contentment in the long term. No spellcheck so pls excuse in advance.
