The Deuce

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of visiting with the great gentlemen of ‘The Deuce’ aka Station 2 of the Arlington County Fire Department. I had a blast! I was like an 8 yr old, taking pictures and asking thousands of questions all the while with a perma-cheese grind on my face. To my dismay, they didn’t have one of those poles that you see in fire stations on TV…but I quickly got over that when I got to tour the facility.

Most important was ‘catching up’ with my homey Greg, (who made the trip possible) we chatted about this and that, and it made me realize that some of the best moments can be the most simple. Never miss the opportunity to do the simple things like visiting a museum, taking a walk through the park, listening to a mature, wise family member, laughing uncontrollably about absolutely nothing, or visiting with an old friend. As simple as these things sound, they can be the most fundamental moments that we carry with us through our lives.
