Sinus pain sufferers UNITE! Meet The Neti Pot

Neti Pot

I’ve been using this bad boy for the past 2 weeks and let me tell you, The Neti Pot is the truth, Ruth! Snotty nose…gone, Sneezing…almost non-existent, Sinus pressure…donzo. I’m not sure why I did not try this the 1st time I heard Dr. Oz (Oprah’s go-to-Doc) bigging up this product but I’m so grateful I use it now.

Benes:

  • Clears nasal passages
  • Relieves nasal dryness
  • Removes excess mucus
  • Reduces dust and pollen buildup in the nasal passages

So what is the Neti Pot?

The Neti Pot is a tea pot looking, relief giving, gift from above, that sheds ever lasting happiness to all those suffering from nasal issues (especially sinus allergies).

What does the Neti Pot do?

It is used for the cleansing and moisturizing of the nasal passages. It is an Ayurvedic treatment (pronounced: a-yur-ve-dic, pertaining to traditional Hindu science of medicine),  from ayurveda, from ayur “life” + veda “knowledge”, that aids in eliminating pollen, nasal gunk, mucus and the nasties from one’s nasal passage to allow air to flow easily in and out of the nose.

How to Use it?

Lightness of being

10 May

Watching children play, you can see their innocence, naivety, and sheer happiness. I recently read in The Conversation by Hill Harper, a phase that summed up these characteristics, called the “Lightness of being”.  Pretty cool way of describing something we all can relate to.

So what happens to all that joy and zest for life many of us had as kids?  At what point in our lives did we stop having fun, smiling or laughing too much? Did we forget our jovial demeanors on the playground with our favorite My little Pony doll with the lavender hair? Or did we trade them in for “adulthood”? With age, knowledge, and life experiences (both good and bad), we tend to loose this Lightness of being.

Today, we shall find it. Get in touch with your inner child: Laugh, Dance, Smile, and for goodness sake have some FUN!

Spring Forward

19 Apr

After a long hiatus…well actually a move, laptop crash, broken camera, and bouts of technical difficulties, & some nonsense to go with it…I’m back, like I never left! Thanks to the countless tech-hours spent chatting with my techy friends and family, Lotus32 can bring you more blogs, photos, updates, views and thoughts (I know you missed it).

So within the next couple of days, expect to get slammed with emails (well, not really slammed, more like 2 emails) to check out the changes to the site and an overall update on what’s been going on in the wonderful world of me. I promise to spare you of all the pollen laden drama I’ve been enduring and refuse to mention all my allergy related complaints….ok, seriously that’s the last you’ll hear of that. I’m buying a Neti pot & it’s suppose to make life easier (for those who don’t know what a Neti pot is, I’ll post a blog about that too).

Until then, PEACE.

Serving the community

It’s very easy to get caught up in being consumed in our own day to day life. Take today to focus on helping someone else whether it be contributing to your local charity or spending time volunteering. Remember our brothers and sisters in Haiti and consider donating to save their lives.

Damn!!

Disappointments may occur more often than we’d like them to but remember no matter how much disappointments set you back, it has happened for a reason.  Keep on truckin’ and pushing forward for with every door that closes another one opens.
